CISF inspector found dead on rail tracks

VASCO: One Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel attached to Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) was found dead between the railway tracks at Vasco railway station on Friday afternoon. Police suspect that the security person committed suicide.

VASCO: One Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel attached to Mormugao Port Trust (MPT) was found dead between the railway tracks at Vasco railway station on Friday afternoon. Police suspect that the security person committed suicide.
According to Vasco station Manager P C Chacko, the incident came to light after departure of Goa express at 3.10 pm when they noticed a body lying on track number one of Vasco railway station. “Deceased person was cut into two pieces and his helmet was lying close to his body. We immediately informed the Vasco railway police authorities and the case is now with them” Chacho said.
Police Sub-Inspector Shivram Gawas said, “We received information at about 3.20 pm that a man was run over by Goa Express train. We rushed to the site and conducted panchanama over the body. During investigation we found an identity card on the body and he has been identified one Leos Larkra, working as CISF inspector and his age would be between 53 to 54 years.”
“We have informed the relatives about the incident and have sent the body for post mortem which would be conducted on Saturday. We would be also looking at CCTV footage to ascertain whether the deceased committed suicide or death was due to some foul play. 
Presently, we have registered the case as unnatural death and further investigation is in progress,” Gawas told reporters.
