In addition to this, violators will be punished – By order – Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) prepared and stuck up posters on the walls and garbage sites by pleading for co-operation in joining it to do away with unbearable garbage plague. We all know garbage is mostly generated from vegetable and fish markets, hotels, restaurants and teashops. This is clogging the main drainage system flowing in the river. This creates havoc and flutter during heavy rains every year.
In the recent past there was a big shame and scandal, lot of hue and cry and when CCP Mayor fell down in the St Inez Creek while trying to inaugurate first de-weeding machine. So let’s heed to the CCP plea bringing an end to the garbage, rather than letting it become a never ending story.
