Branches of an adjoining tree have passed through live electrical wires near Almeida High School in the vicinity of old bus-stand in Ponda. The situation seems dangerous to human life and property.
During strong winds and heavy rain, there is every possibility of short circuit taking place at this strategic location, thereby leading to adverse consequences.
In order to avoid a possible tragedy in the near future, it would be appropriate for the higher officials at the Electricity Department in Ponda to take note of the above serious matter and arrange chopping of tree branches that have been touching live electrical wires. Such a timely favourable step would indeed assure relief to one and all.
