Although traffic signboards play a significant role in assuring safety to travellers, yet we often come across signboards which remain in negligent condition or fallen, with authorities turning a blind eye, on different occasions.
One such signboard along the Veling-Priol route in Ponda has been noticed fallen down for over a month.
In public interest it was absolutely necessary for the authorities to reinstall it on a priority basis.
However, no favourable action has come forth and as on Saturday, September 30 at 10 am, the signboard remained in similar condition.
I request higher officials at the traffic cell in Ponda to reinstall this neglected signboard at once, so that it serves the basic purpose of guiding travellers along this busy route, rather than rust along roadside.
With the ever-increasing traffic proceeding on regular basis, prompt positive steps in this direction would certainly be appreciated by one and all.
