Install signboards to warn vehicles

Speed breakers were requested at this site, a junction of four roads on the NH 17 at Dandeavado, Chinchinim.

Many fatal accidents have taken place at this junction. Individuals, NGOs and the Panchayat have long since indentified the problem.
Some vested individuals played spoilt sport, personally intervening at the site and stopped PWD workers from carrying out their directions and using specifications needed for the hump type of speed breakers.  Finally much to the relief of locals, zebra type of rumblers are now in place.
Parents, children and others forced to cross this dangerous spot seemed to be relieved of the difficulties faced by them at this junction.
Unfortunately no sign boards mark the rumblers on either side. All vehicles, including two vehicles, continue going over the rumblers without slowing down whilst ignoring the intended aspects and thus jeopardise the safety of those crossing the road. Pedestrians imagined that vehicles would slow down on these speed breakers. But unless the signboards warning of these rumblers are erected on either side the purpose of these speed breakers is lost altogether. The only nuisance, specially at nights, is sleep disturbance for the residents with the rattling sounds over a distance.
