Hollant Beach, near Bogmalo, happens to be a popular picnic site. Hundreds of people visit the beach for a dip in the sea water every single day during the summer season.
In fact, the beach gets crowded during weekends.
It is observed that an electric pole with LED lights on the beach has tilted dangerously (as seen in the photograph) probably due to less support at the base.
Incidentally, the pole has been given some support by tying it to a nearby coconut tree with a rope, probably by the local people. If the pole is not kept erect and the base strengthened, there is imminent danger of it falling down bring down the live electric wires, thereby causing loss to life and property.
The concerned authorities need to put the pole back in its place before something untoward happens.
