The common man is looted at the birth/death certificates issue counter of Margao Municipal Council. Formerly the cost for the issue of birth certificate copy was Rs 10 during the Congress rule. When the BJP came to power it was raised to Rs 15 per copy. Now the same has been increased to Rs 30. This is nothing but looting the common man by the BJP serkar. The public simply goes on paying the amount, whatever is quoted by the Municipality and fails to raise their voices against it.
When the public do not raise their voices, the Chief Officer or Chairperson takes advantage and increases the cost of issuing birth certificates also other issues.
Does the Municipality do anything good by looting the public? The Margao city is in a shambles and dirty. The garbage is scattered here and there, especially near Cine Lata and Gandhi Market and all the lanes in between the roads. The urinals are overflowing with urine and the smell is unbearable. The drains are blocked with dirt and garbage. They have not yet started the work of cleaning the drains in Margao. Will the Chief Officer reduce the cost of issuing birth certificates from Rs 30 to Rs 10?
