Vasco town is one with railway station, airport and a port facility. But the town is one of the most neglected town in Goa. After BRICKS meet, few years ago, the road in the airport area is in dark. Many electric poles were installed from Verna junction to airport road. However, after the meet, the streetlights have gone off and only the poles are visible.
Today, if we go through the Mangor Hill road leading to Gurudwara Shrine and then touching Varunapuri and airport at Dabolim, it is in dilapidated condition. In monsoon, the road is dirty, where the children walk towards Kendriya Vidyalaya School. There are no traffic police deployed at the junction, where the new road built from Varunapuri to Sada starts just outside the school.
Just near the telephone exchange, garbage is thrown in the open which gets spread across the road at night. My request to the Mormugao Municipal Council to build a square dustbins with a cover to collect the garbage to avoid untidy condition on the roads.
