Recently a father-son duo lost their precious lives at Kapileshwari in Ponda after they came in touch with live electrical wires situated close to the terrace of their house.
As a matter of fact, we come across overhead electrical wires existing very close to the roof of the houses at various locations, more so, in the villages.
One peculiar instance in this regard is the jurisdiction of Durbhat (including Adpai, Durbhat and Agapur).
Such a tendency is quite dangerous and if any inmate comes in contact with the live wires of high intensity they are likely to receive electrical shock, thereby leading to serious consequences.
I sincerely request the higher officials at the Electricity Department in Ponda to undertake a survey of houses at different locations (more particularly in villages situated around the town) and initiate prompt favourable action in shifting the live wires at a higher location so that any untoward incident like that of above mentioned in the near future is averted on a permanent basis.
Immediate relief in this serious matter would go a long way in assuring safety to precious human lives.
