Recently, new electricity poles have been installed along the route proceeding from military camp towards Curti in Ponda. In this context, there is one instance in the vicinity of Savitri Hall at Curti wherein a electricity pole has been installed too close to a traffic signboard depicting the word ‘X’ (i.e. cross road ahead).
However, the said signboard is unnoticeable due to the newly installed electricity pole. Ultimately, it tends to be useless in serving the basic purpose of assuring necessary guidance to innocent motorists.

It would be advisable for the concerned authorities to remove the said signboard and install it a bit ahead so that the same is clearly visible to vehicular traffic proceeding along this strategic route. Such a favourable step would indeed assure safety to precious human lives.
Let us hope that the concerned authorities would assure immediate positive action in this sensitive matter in public interest.
