PANJIM, JAN 7
In a daring robbery, cash and goods worth Rs 1 lakh were stolen from a shop in the heart of the city.
According to Panjim Police, Adv Rohit De Sa, Church View building, Altinho accused Ganesh Rao, a resident of Braganza Chambers, Merces, of breaking open his shop Mandovi Traders, Panjim and stealing cash Rs 40,000 besides one Sintex tank, water tank, four sheets (all worth Rs 60,000).
The accused has been arrested and a case under Section 454, 457, and 380 of IPC has been registered against him.
