Classes for SSC & HSSC students should start, says Power Minister

Curchorem: Power Minister Nilesh Cabral wants to commence the classes for the students of SSC and HSSC since they have to answer the public examinations.

Expressing his personal opinion on Thursday at Curchorem, he said regarding other classes, the government can take policy decisions but since SSC and HSSC students have to answer Board exams, at least their classes must commence.

“If you see the current situation COVID is becoming a part and parcel of our daily life. We do not know when the vaccine will come and the virus get over, and therefore parents, management of schools, other stakeholders and chief minister has to take decision.” said Cabral

He further said that the Supreme Court has given guidelines and said that final year universities cannot be declared passed and based on this ruling, the SSC and HSSC students would not be able to declare passed.

“Since the lower classes students won’t be there, the SSC and HSSC students can be divided and teachers can take classes or classes can be recorded and students can watch it live or those parents want to send their children to school. This is my personal view but the stakeholders along with the Chief Minister have to take final decision,” said Cabral.
