Margao: After much ado, the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) has got Agnelo Fernandes as its Chief Officer (CO). After the transfer of former CO Ajit Panchwadkar, Biju Naik was given charge of the MMC. However, she failed to take charge of the office for a week citing health reasons. The administration was hampered and there was a delay in salaries of staff and other workers.
Agnelo who is the CO of South Goa Zilla Panchayat has been now posted as the MMC Chief Officer. Naik has been posted as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
