CM likely to return next month

PANJIM: Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, currently undergoing treatment in the United States of America, is likely to return to Goa in the second half of June. Government sources revealed that CM’s first phase of treatment will conclude in the beginning of next month after which he will fly back home.
“CM will in most probability return to Goa after June 15 and advise Governor to summon the monsoon session of the Assembly the following month. If doctors ask him to continue with the treatment, he will go back to US after the Assembly session,” said a source.
The Budget session in February had been curtailed owing to his ill-health and as such, the forthcoming session could be a lengthy one.
Two months after he left for Mumbai, and thereafter US for his treatment, his made his first public appearance via a video message during BJP’s booth convention addressed by party’s national president Amit Shah.
