“It’s
a challenge but our government has never denied anything to the people of Goa
and if the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission are accepted by
the Central government, we will implement it in Goa too. We will not deny our
employees their right,” Parsekar said.

Asked
whether the government has the financial capacity to hike salaries at this
juncture, he said, “Despite these crises are we implementing so many schemes.
In 54 years of freedom our party is in power for just eight years but all the
schemes are complemented by our government be it DSS, Gruha Aadhar, Ladli
Laxmi, support price to farmers etc. You speak of any scheme today it has been
started by us.”
