MARGAO: Moves to unseat Cuncolim Municipal Chairperson Devendra Desai gained momentum on Thursday with the town abuzz with the news that the civic chief may soon face a no-confidence motion.
Devendra, on the other hand, said he is ready to step down if the new combination is willing to support the candidature of vice-chairperson Landry Mascarenhas for the coveted post.
Though strong rumours did the rounds in Cuncolim that the civic chief may face the no-trust motion,
DMA Elvis Gomes clarified his office has not received any notice of no-confidence
motion.
