CANACONA: The no-confidence motion which was postponed last week against beleaguered Canacona Municipal Council (CMC) Chairperson Ajay Bhagat will be taken up on Wednesday.
According to CMC sources, the DMA has issued an order stating that the no-confidence motion will be held on July 10. The motion was moved by six councillors in the 10-member council.
Bhagat, is virtually in the minority after six councillors of his ruling group moved the no-confidence motion in retaliation against his stand of recalling his resignation a day before it was to take effect.
, has already survived for a week after the meeting last Wednesday was postponed following indisposition of presiding officer and Cuncolim Municipal Council Chief Officer, Praveen Barad.
