“In such situation, name of Christianity is getting spoil. Show me which church is involved in this? These are people who come from outside Goa and have prayer meetings, and other activities,” he said.

“There are different sects in Christianity namely Protestants and others. They can take their religion ahead but cannot carry out conversions. They can help people in different ways but not by conversion,” Lobo said.

He said, “Action should be taken on such activities because in such situation, differences are created between two religions.

There is no need for anti-conversion bill because such activities are not happening on a large scale in Goa. There are various laws under Indian Penal Code and it’s enough to curb this issue.”
