They demanded that the master mind behind the attack be brought to book and warned that people would take to the streets if there were gaps in the investigation. Speakers said the inci dent had sent shockwaves across Goa, raising fears of a growing “gunda raj” and a politics of physical in timidation that threatens citizens who speak out. They insisted that a strong precedent must be set to ensure such violence is not repeated. Among those who ad dressed the gathering were Orville Dourado Rod rigues and Olencio Simoes, who underlined the need for accountability beyond the immediate accused. Rodrigues added that the justice they are seeking is not just for Rama but also for all Goans and Goa.
