PANJIM: The displaced vendors who used to operate from kiosks that were placed outside Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim had a sit-down protest in front of residence of St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes on Monday morning.
They were upset by the assurances given by Fernandes and St Andre MLA Francisco Silveira about their quick rehabilitation.

While the two MLAs raised the issue in the Assembly, the irate kiosk owners, who have vowed to continue their protest until their demands are fulfilled on the ground, instead of relying on assurances alone, said they will hold another dharna outside GMC, on Tuesday.
