PANJIM: The Rent-a-Cab Association on Tuesday met the Transport Department officials urging to not increase the fee amount of All India Permit, citing financial crisis owing to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have been going through financial crisis due to COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdowns. We have barely operated for around three months but all that money earned has been exhausted towards payment of licences, maintenance, etc,” said one of the representatives of the Rent-a-Car Association.
The delegation also requested the department officials that they do not operate outside Goa and hence, they should be exempted from making additional payment.
