Driver booked for rash driving in Agonda mishap

Canacona police on Friday registered a case of rash and negligent driving against the car driver, who was involved in an accident at Agonda-Canacona in which a two-wheeler rider was seriously injured.
It may be recalled that Luiza Fernandes, a teacher, and two-wheeler rider had suffered serious head injuries in the mishap at Panna-Agonda on Tuesday morning. Fernandes was still recuperating at GMC Hospital in Bambolim.
Police has booked the driver of the tourist car (GA09 U-0492) under Sections 279 and 337 IPC and is investigating the case.
