PANJIM: The State government on Saturday announced the Chief Minister’s Police Service Medals to DySP Harishchandra Madkaikar, PI Sagun Sawant, Lady PI Reshma Shirodkar and three others in recognition of their excellence in public service and investigation.

Lady PSI Anjali Gaonkar, ASI Jayesh Parab and Head Constable Sidhesh Gawas are the other police personnel selected. Meanwhile, government officials Isha Sawant, Vinayak Volvoikar, Amar Heblekar, Arun Panchwadkar, Prasidh Naik and Deepak Pednekar have been selected as best Swayampurna Mitras and they will be honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, on the occasion of 60th year of Goa Liberation.
