MARGAO: A 40-year old scooterist from Fatorda died in a tragic road accident late last night on the main road near the Mohiddin petrol pump, Margao.
Deceased Plassy Napolean Afonso was knocked down by a speeding truck on the main road at around midnight. He was immediately rushed to the Hospicio hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. Margao police said a case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the truck driver for causing death.
