FDA conducts raid in Mapusa market

MAPUSA: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) raided Mapusa market and seized goods of seven spice vendors, besides those selling tobacco, cigarettes and eatables.

MAPUSA: The Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) raided Mapusa market and seized goods of seven spice vendors, besides those selling tobacco, cigarettes and eatables.
During the raid officials found seven spice sellers without valid licenses and permissions. A vendor from Sawantwadi was also found selling spices without proper packaging and expiry dates. The FDA seized his stock and samples were sent for analyses.
FDA also inspected tobacco and cigarette vendors and seized stock of eight vendors. The officials also seized eatables from thirteen vendors. The raid was conducted by a team headed by Rajiv Korde.
