MARGAO: Residents of Manora-Raia are up in arms over the presence of a migrant colony in their backyard, even as an inspection conducted by the Raia village panchayat revealed that the structures have come up without permission of authorities concerned.
Angry locals have demanded demolition of the structures and action against all officials, who have connived to issue NOCs for the same.
After an inspection, the Raia Sarpanch told the media that the structures on the property have come up without panchayat permission. The residents have now served a deadline of 15 days on the authorities to initiate action in the matter.
