PANJIM: The Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) began Tuesday, with students answering two papers on the first day. A total of 3,403 students are appearing at 11 centres across Goa to compete for a seat in the professional colleges.
The Class XII passed students answered physics and chemistry papers on the first day, while mathematics and biology papers will be answered on May 7.
The common exam determines eligibility for medicine, dentistry, engineering, pharmacy and homeopathy seats in Goa.
The Indian Institute of Technology at Bombay had signed a MoU with the state to conduct the GCET.
