PANJIM: Around 4,200 students have registered for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) which is scheduled to be held on May 8 and 9.

PANJIM: Around 4,200 students have registered for the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) which is scheduled to be held on May 8 and 9.
However, this is the first year when students will only be answering the GCET for admissions to engineering and pharmacy programmes and due to this the number of applicants has seen drop.
“The last day for registering for GCET is April 27 with late fee and the number of students can go up,” said an official.
This year, GCET will be held only for mathematics, physics and chemistry as students for the homeopathy and ayurveda seats will also answer the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admissions.
Meanwhile, the State has also decided that those aspirants who want to join nursing and other allied health degree programs seats across Goa should also answer NEET.
