PANJIM: A German has been arrested for allegedly possessing drugs worth Rs 75 lakh, meant for peddling in the coastal State. The Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) arrested 36-year-old Mathias Waack with suspected LSD papers following a raid at his rented room in Siolim on Monday night.
“The seized contraband was found concealed in his rented room and meant for sale to tourists visiting Goa in the ongoing tourist season,” the ANC informed.
Waack confessed to the investigating team that he was running the narcotics business and had been supplying drugs to tourists visiting the State during the ongoing tourist season.
