PANJIM: Suspended Head of Forensic Department of the Goa Medical College, Dr Edmund Rodrigues, was questioned by Crime Branch (CB) on Wednesday in connection with the disposal of the body of Aldona youth Januz Gonsalves. The senior doctor later filed an application for anticipatory bail, which the court has reserved for hearing on October 5.
Director General of Police Muktesh Chander had on Monday handed over the case to CB from Agassaim police station for a more professional investigation.
Rodrigues, junior technician Machindra Jhalmi and post-mortem attendant Prakash Narvekar are being investigated for the criminal negligence.
Jhalmi has been summoned by Crime Branch on Thursday.
