Goa to get BSNL 3G from today

State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is set to launch its 3G services in Goa tomorrow.
Goa will be only the second place after Pune to get the 3G rollout in the western zone, which includes the States of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Goa, Chattisgarh and Maharashtra.
The new service offers video calls, high-speed Internet facilities like fast downloading of data on mobiles.
According to BSNL, all pre-paid and post-paid customers using 3G-enabled mobile handsets can avail of the services, but they will have to subscribe for the same. BSNL has paid Rs 10,186.58 crore to the government for pan-India 3G spectrum, excluding Delhi and Mumbai circles.
The 3G services are expected to be charged at 30 paise per minute.
