PANJIM: Organisations have protested against the mandatory requirement by the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Goa for students seeking admission to complete a HIV test.
A letter was written by Human Touch Foundation (HTF) to the Institute pointing out that not only is the rule discriminatory, it is also in blatant violation of HIV and AIDS (Prevention and Control) Act, 2017.

Another letter was also written to the Goa State AIDS Control Society (GSACS) about IHM with a demand for the State to bring in legal accountability, and establish formal mechanisms for inquiring into complaints and redressing grievances at the earliest.
