PANJIM: Goa Suraksha Manch (GSM) on Friday launched its youth wing ‘Goa Suraksha Yuva Vaihini’ in a bid to attract youth to strengthen the party, but mainly to tackle drug abuse among youth.
GSM President Anand Shirodkar appointed advocate Hrudaynath Shirodkar as the youth wing President and Mahesh Mhambrey as General Secretary.
Addressing the media, the youth wing President said, “In the next six months we will set up 25 shakti kendras across the State. Goa has a lot of student wings and unions but political parties associated with it have only used the youth for political benefits and have never concentrated on social and nationalist benefits.”
