PANJIM: As the five-year long term of incumbent Goa University Vice Chancellor Prof Varun Sahni term is set to end in August, the office of Goa Governor and Chancellor has initiated process to appoint a new VC.
The office of Chancellor Bhagat Singh Koshyari has invited applications from distinguished academicians for the post of VC of Goa University. Sahni was appointed the vice-chancellor of GU in 2016.

The applicant should be an Academician, having ten years teaching experience in the University or should have ten years experience in a recognised research center of Academic council. The last date for submitting applications is July 9.
A three-member selection committee has been put in place to shortlist the candidate. The committee members include Shekhar Mande, Jagmohan Singh Rajput and Dr G Satish Reddy.
