PANJIM: Two years after launching the Information Technology (IT) Policy for Goa, the Department of Information Technology has assessed one of the 11 registered companies for 100 per cent incentives by the government.

Tanserve Technologies Private limited, headquartered in Delhi and having office in Goa is all set to avail 100 per cent incentives for employing highest number of employees. The company is developing machine learning and artificial intelligence and providing GIS services.
Currently, 11 companies have been registered with the Department of IT under IT Policy and no company has 100 per cent employment of Goans, which is one of the criteria to avail incentives.
“We have assessed Transerve Technologies Private Limited and they are qualifying for 100 per cent incentives for employing highest number of Goans. They do not have 100 per cent employment of Goans but has higher number of Goan origin employees. They will be given incentives soon,” Assistant Director of IT Prashila Borkar informed Herald.
“This year three other companies Nordik Intent LP, Open Destination and Technorix have applied for incentives under IT Policy and their assessment is on,” she said.
According to Borkar, companies that employ 30 per cent to 60 per cent Goan origin or Goan graduates can avail 75 per cent incentives and 50 per cent incentives will be given to companies that have upto 30 per cent of Goan employees on roll on last date of financial year or average full-time equivalent.
