Jesmon stars for Salcete

Striker Jesmon Soares scored twice as Salcete Football Club outsmarted Guardian Angel Sports Club 3-0 in the GFA U-14 League, at Curchorem ground, on Thursday. Salcete led 2-0 at the break.
Salcete dominated the game right from the start and went into the lead in the 9th minute when Jesmon Soares punt the ball in with a pile driver. Eldrich Araujo doubled the lead in the 35th minute.
The second half did not bring any respite to the sagging morale of Guardian Angel as Salcete attacked both the flanks. Jesmon completed his brace in the 67th to record a comprehensive win.
Bresources Betalbatim Sporting Club thumped Snow’s Football Academy 7-0 at Betalbatim ground. Betalbatim led 4-0 at half time.
Betalbatim virtually toyed with the rival defence with sharp raids.
Ronit Azavedo and Mathew Colaco scored a brace each while Jaison Lucas, Allister Fernandes and Regan Ferrrao accounted for one goal each.
In the other matches, AA de Majorda-Utorda-Calata got the better of Young strikers 3-1 while Rossman Cruz Nagoa SC beat Verna SC 2-1. Alison D’Sa and Stephen Abranches netted for Rossman and Joshua Fernandes scored for Verna.
