Mapusa Police is yet to nab the culprits who had attacked National Students Union of India (NSUI) President Sunil Kawathankar on July 23.
It may be recalled that Kawathankar was attacked by two persons at Assonora, when Kawathankar and his friends were proceeding in his car from Panjim towards Bicholim.
Two persons, riding a motorcycle, blocked the car and pelted stones at Kawathankar and fled away. Kawathankar sustained face injuries and was admitted to Vrundavan Hospital. He was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.
Meanwhile, on the basis of the information provided by Kawathankar’s friends, who were in the car when the incident occurred, Mapusa Police has prepared a sketch of one of the suspects, who attacked Kawathankar.
Mapusa Police have requested the public to contact them immediately if they notice a person resembling the sketch.
