SANGUEM: The Sanguem Police investigating into the missing complaint filed by the family of Sanguem local Shantaram Shirodkar, on Monday recovered a key and a few mobile phone pieces at Kuinamoll Sanguem, the site where a charred male body was found.
It is learnt that the key found at the site belonged to Shantaram Shirodkar, who is reported to be missing since December 23.
The key and the mobile pieces found at the site could provide vital clues for the police in identifying the charred body. The police are awaiting confirmation of the DNA test and the post mortem report.
Meanwhile, the family of Shantaram Shirodkar has refused to take possession of the charred body if it turns out to be that of Shantaram until the persons involved in the suspected murder of Shantaram are arrested.
The family members said there has been a family feud over the property dispute for past several years.
“We have already given the names of the suspects to the Sanguem police and have demanded a thorough investigation into the missing complaint filed by us, said Shirodkar, a family member.
Under no circumstances Shantaram could get himself burnt while undertaking the cleaning operations as he has been doing the same for the past 35 years, informed sources.
