MARGAO: The MLAs of South Goa have made New Year resolutions, both personal and public, as they bid farewell to 2017. Several MLAs have taken resolutions to take a public centric approach while formulating policies of the government and ensure that the developmental projects of the government benefits every Goan.
Vijai Sardesai, the only minister from Salcete, has reiterated his commitment to Goa, Goekaar and Goenkarponn. “I resolve today to make sure that we put in 100% effort to fulfill the assurances and commitments we have made after the Goans embraced Goa Forward wholeheartedly, Vijai said.
“While formulating the policies of the government to the Goenkaar, we will also make sure that a strong campaign begins against the negative pessimistic criticism that is being made against the functioning of the government,” Vijai said.
Goa Forward will also place emphasis on expansion to become a pan-Goa party.
South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar has made a New Year resolution of taking to all the people, the benefits Central and State schemes.
Curchorem MLA Nilesh Cabral said, “Today, I resolve to provide ample amount of employment to the people of my constituency and also plan to complete all the unfinished development. The Curchorkaars have elected me with a huge margin twice and I will always keep working for their betterment.”
Nilesh also spoke of having a strong commitment towards tourism development in Goa and has assured to work harder this year.
Benaulim MLA Churchill Alemao said, “I plan to correct the mistakes I did in the past and also have a desire that all the differences have to be set aside and we all need to work together for a better Benaulim and a better Goa.”
Margao MLA Digamber Kamat said that his work and commitment towards Margao and Margaokaars would continue and he would keep working for the development of Margao.
