According to the information, the incident occurred at Grande Vanelim, Colva where the fire brigade was trying to fish out the body of a 42-year-old woman Fatima Fernandes on Sunday night. The deceased was reported missing following a complaint. The locals informed the police after finding a body floating in the well. The police later informed the fire brigade, who rushed to the site to remove the body. When the fire officials lowered the ladder into the well to remove the body, they failed to notice the live wire. Nilesh, who was on the metal ladder, was thrown into the well when the metal ladder came in contact with the live wire. Nilesh was immediately shifted to Hospicio for treatment and was discharged later.
