PANJIM: Indian National Congress (INC) President Rahul Gandhi has appointed senior Congress MLA from Goa, Luizinho Faleiro, as the chairperson on the candidate screening committee for Mizoram. The Mizoram Assembly elections are due this year and likely to take place in December.
Faleiro, a former state chief minister, had been in charge of several North East States in the past for the Congress.
