A 26-year-old man from Desai Nagar-Mandrem allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well on Thursday morning.
According to Pernem Police, one Avdhut Pitre committed suicide by jumping into a well near his house. Pernem Fire Department personnel fished out the body and sent it for post mortem.
Police further informed that the cause behind the act could not be established.
A case of unnatural death has been registered and police has ruled out foul play.
Pernem Police are investigating the case.
