Canacona:While all the salons in Goa are following the government order of lockdown till May 3 as of now, once they open, there will be thousands of men and women queuing to groom themselves.
Presently, it’s nearly a month since Goans have visited their favourite salons and barbers. However, given the lack of options, many have decided to trim their hair themselves.

Manoj Prabugaonkar, a resident of Canacona said he has bought kits for himself and his son. “The kit has an apron, comb, scissor, razor and a brush,” he added.
While this may suffice for some, there will still be a big demand for the salons once they open. Along with this, there have been some concerns raised about social distancing and overcrowding at these places.
There have also been demands that the salons put in extra efforts to sanitize the place given the possible risks related to COVID-19.
Speaking about the salons in Goa Dr Manoj Kamat, principal of Mallikarjun College and an expert in various fields of studies says that the health and well-being of both the worker in salon and its clients will a top priority.
