The Mapusa Municipal Council is preparing for the upcoming Our Lady of Milagres feast, which will take place on April 24. MMC chairperson Priya Mishal with other officers conducted an inspection and measured places for the upcoming stalls at the fair. While the sweet and furniture vendors have already erected stalls, measurements were taken to allot stalls for other vendors. So far, the municipality has received 30 applications for the installation of stalls. The fair will last for 10 days till May 3.
Speaking about the de-stilting work Mishal stated that round one of the de-stilting work is completed. However, the work will be diverted due to the feast and temple festival. The chairperson has assured that the pre-monsoon works will be completed by next month in May.
