MGP requests SC to take up defections

PONDA: Maharashtra Gomantak Party (MGP) President Deepak Dhavalikar, on Thursday, said that the current two-thirds defection in Goa and all over India in political parties is a warning bell for end of Democracy in the country. He requested the Supreme Court to take suo motu cognisance of the defection and pressurise the government to bring a change in the anti-defection law. 
“If this situation prevailed,” he said, “there will be no opposition and people will not go for voting and would lose confidence in democracy.”
He appealed to every citizens of India to create awareness on the defection law.
