MARGAO: Former Tourism Minister and ex-MLA of Nuvem Constituency Mickky Pacheco on Sunday stated that he will be contesting the next assembly elections and hinted at joining the Congress Party in the next few weeks.
Briefing the media persons on Sunday at Betalbatim he claimed that the Congress Party will win the elections on its own and will form the next government, as he disclosed his political strategy after a long gap.
“In two weeks, everyone will come to know where Mickky Pacheco is standing. I will not disclose my cards at the moment. The ticket is not an issue at all, because I am sure of contesting on a Congress ticket. Everything is depending on the high command of Congress”, he stated.
According to Mickky, Congress has to convince the people and not go for alliance with any other political party.
“Our family is known as the family engaged with the Congress Party. I still have Congress in my heart. I am not against Congress but kept myself distance from the party because I am against the people who are in the Congress Party”, he stated.
Mickky criticised the 10 rebellion MLAs of Congress stating they have joined the BJP government for their personal development. He also informed that he has submitted his detailed report about Goa and Congress to high command.
“Senior leaders don’t respect Girish Chodankar, because they know he has good relations with the high command and feels that they are being sidelined”, he stated.
