PANJIM: The Goa Mineral Ore Exporters Association (GMOEA) claimed that the State government’s intention behind setting up Mining Corporation is to unlock the untapped mineral and to have its index for Goa.
The claim is been made following GMOEA meeting with the State government officials seeking clarification on setting up State-run Corporation to resume iron ore mining activities.
In a press statement issued, GMOEA Secretary Glen Kalavampara said that the post recent announcement of the Mining Corporation in the State Budget, today we had the opportunity to meet and seek clarification from the State government.
“It is being understood that unlocking untapped mineral wealth in virgin areas and having a mineral index for the State being the possible intent,” Kalavampara said.
