PANJIM: A day after the High Court of Bombay at Goa rapped outgoing Chief Officer of the Margao Municipal Council (MMC) Siddhivinayak Naik over his callous attitude towards resolving the Sonsodo issue, Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo said he expected the Court to appoint an administrator to run the council.
Speaking to media, Lobo said the court was very lenient towards the chief officer and the council. “Verbally, court passed some serious strictures on the CO for his careless attitude. But in the order, the court was lenient,” he said.
“I was expecting the court to pass strictures and suspend the officer and appoint administrator in MMC,” he added.
Lobo said that along with the chief officer, the Municipal chairman and the entire council is responsible for the Sonsoddo mess.
