PERNEM: Some unknown miscreants set fire to the public documents of Ozari Village Panchayat.

Panchayat Secretary Pravin Parab lodged a complaint with the Pernem Police Station stating that between 17.30 hours of July 4 and 09.30 hours of July 5, some unknown miscreants trespassed into the village panchayat office and set on fire public documents such as cash books, Form 1 & XIV document books, work files, receipt books, voucher files, audit files, bank statements, (Audit Inspection records) of the year 2018-19 to 2021-22 etc.
“The miscreants broke opened the lock of panchayat’s main door and entered in. The Pernem Police have conducted the panchnama,” Parab said.
An offence has been registered under Section 454, 457, 436 IPC and Section 3 of PDPP Act against the unknown persons.
