Clarifying his stand on distribution of Cricket kits to the clubs, Aldona MLA Dayanand Narvekar on Monday stated Goa Cricket Academy is an autonomous body and hence the code of conduct does not become applicable to it.
“Distribution of cricket kits is an annual feature of Goa Cricket Academy. Every year, GCA distributes these kits to the Cricket clubs as a part of encouragement to clubs,” said Narvekar.
He further said the Congress party has not confirmed his candidature nor he is sure whether or not party will offer him the Congress ticket.
“In view of this, the question of violation of code of conduct on my part does not arise at all,” said Narvekar.
